Shirin Karimi

I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario, Canada, and a recent graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).

My professional journey is deeply rooted in clinical and research expertise in oncologic pathology and cancer management.

Previously, I practiced as an MD and pathologist at a university-affiliated referral hospital in Tehran, Iran. From 2013 to 2017, I completed clinical fellowships in pulmonary pathology and neuropathology at Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, focusing on lung cancer and brain tumors.

Following this, I worked as a research associate at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Dr Gelareh Zadeh's neuro-oncology research center, focusing on oncologic molecular pathology and methylation profiling brain tumors from 2017 to 2020. Our team has successfully published multiple peer-reviewed research papers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I transitioned to public health and worked as a case manager and team coordinator for the clinical COVID-19 program at the Ontario Ministry of Health.

I am passionate about integrating my extensive medical background with naturopathic care to advance integrative cancer treatment and contribute to clinical research in this field.
