Dr. Gonzalez was born in The Bronx, in New York City, and was raised in the small town of Piaxtla in the state of Puebla, Mexico. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York. After working for five years as an engineer for NASA in Houston, DR. Gonzalez entered the program for dental surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and graduated in 2008. He then joined the United States Air Force, and completed a program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. In this program, he learned advanced surgical skills, and he has continued to combine these skills with his knowledge in biological dentistry, for the benefit of the patients. Dr. Edward Gonzalez is SMART Certified and IAOMT Member. He performs Biocompatibility Testing, Digital X-rays, Family Dentistry, Partial Dentures, Metal-Free Crowns & Bridges, Nutritional/Detox Counseling, Advanced Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Oxygen/Ozone, Periodontal Therapy, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), Safely Remove Amalgams, IV Sedation, Oral Sedation, Cavitation Surgery. His hobbies include running, swimming, cycling, and triathlons. He has completed Ironman Cozumel, and has participated in over 20 marathons in his career, including marathons in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Colorado, New York, Greece, Brazil, and China. Dr. Gonzalez is married to his lovely wife Liliana, and together they have one son, David Alexandro. Dr. Gonzalez is very kind, and easy to talk to, and he is a good listener too.
