As an expressive art therapist, I believe that through creative expression and the tapping of the imagination, a person can examine the body, feelings, emotions and his or her thought process. Combining creative arts with psychotherapy, I offer children, adolescents, adults and families a variety of non-traditional modalities as gateways to exploring both their struggles and strengths. I also offer more traditional modalities from the humanistic and existential perspective. I also have been trained in EMDR. Expressive therapy is the practice of using puppetry, storytelling, dance, music, drama, poetry, and arts together, in an integrated way, to foster human growth, development, and healing. It's about reclaiming our innate capacity as human beings for creative expression of our individual and collective human experience in artistic form.
