Alicen L. Halquist

Alicen Halquist is an expert trainer, presenter, consultant and therapist in the fields of trauma and attachment who educates professionals in skills that enhance “quality of life” and "happiness in relationships” for both the professionals and their clients. With a 25 year career in the field of Somatic and Developmental Psychology, she brings a wealth of experience to her faculty positions with DARe (Dynamic Attachment Repatterining), S.E. (The Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute) and Naropa University. Alicen is directly influenced by industry pioneers such as Peter Levine, Diane Poole Heller and Stan Tatkin, as well as study in the areas of neuroscience, pre-and-perinatal psychology, meditation, mindfulness and creative arts therapy. She draws on her own journey through marriage and raising a family to make her approach more personal and relatable.
