I believe that therapy works best when it engages the whole person - body, mind, emotions and spirit. As a therapist, I know that somatic and embodied experiences impact who we are and how we live our lives and our stories are an important par of the healing journey. My goal is to use both somatic and creative experiences with clients to support their ability to live more fully, deeply and with greater satisfaction. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist a Board Certified Dance/Movement Psychotherapist with additional training and/or certification in several alternative Somatics/Body Therapies, Movement Analysis, Mindell Processwork and Authentic Movement. I specialize in using creativity and embodiment to address issues that include: healing personal and collective trauma, attachment issues (individual and couples), body image/self-esteem/identity, mood disorders, and lifecycle transitions. I have worked with individuals, families, couples and groups of all ages (children to seniors) in hospitals, institutional settings. I currently have a private practice in southwest Minneapolis. I also have diversity/multi-cultural expertise with a range of nationalities, cultures and religious/ spiritual practices as well as GLBTQ and women’s issues.
