Hello. I'm glad you found your way here. I'll tell you a little bit about myself here and you can also click the link to my website for more information. I work with youth and adults, individuals and systems, from a diverse set of backgrounds. I am trained as a somatic relational therapist. Why is this important for you to know? Well, if you have experienced any overwhelming life events, it is likely that your neurophysiology has been affected. If that event included others, (a caregiver, a partner, a sibling, a babysitter) your relational field has also been affected. Thus, as a somatic relational therapist, in session, you and I tend to the creative adjustments that your nervous system has done to keep you safe and how these adjustments may have impacted your relationship with yourself and others. From this micro perspective, we are also curious about how larger forces in your life (sexism, racism, homophobia, mysogeny, xenophobia, ableism, cis-het priviledge) have intersected and impacted you over time. People who come to me are living with a variety of experiences. This may include; thoughts, feelings and behaviors related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, developmental trauma (C-PTSD), relational harm, suicidal thoughts, life changes and transitions (including positive ones!), isolation, dislocation, illness, chronic pain, substance use, eating disorders, grief and loss, sex, intimacy and relational concerns.
