Julia is a Rosen Method Somatic Bodyworker, combining the principals of Somatic Experiencing and the Rosen Method to help individuals gently unravel old belief systems, habits and trauma survival mechanisms that no longer serve a purpose. The Rosen Method is a gentle and profound form of therapeutic bodywork that uses words and touch to support a deepening of physical and emotional awareness. By contacting places of muscle tension and restricted breathing in the clients body, with hands that listen rather than manipulate, Julia invites unconscious emotions and memories to emerge. Using the SE approach a safe container is created to support the release of unresolved traumatic shock, helping to transform PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma. This wholistic and embodied process supports committed, determined clients to experience more aliveness, new choices in life, and a greater sense of well-being. Julia has been in practice since 1997 and specializes in supporting clients embracing significant life, career and relationship changes. Her subtle sensitivity and awareness of anxiety and trauma held within the body also makes her especially suitable for clients with transgressed boundary and body issues.
