I recently relocated to Gig Harbor, WA from Los Gatos, CA where I maintained a private practice for two decades. I will be opening a Gig Harbor office in mid-2024. Till then, all patient sessions are telehealth only. For in-depth information about my psychotherapy practice and fees, please visit my website. I am an integrative psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) licensed to practice psychotherapy in Washington (LMFT#61254534), California (LMFT#43725 and LPCC#691), New York (LMFT#001283-1) and Oregon (LMFT#T1207). I am also an AAMFT Clinical Fellow. I have spent two decades working with high-performing professionals (engineers, scientists, executives, physicians/psychologists) struggling with unresolved traumatic experiences: particularly medical trauma, C-PTSD, combat and war trauma, high-impact injuries, burnout, workplace harassment, traumatic grief, and challenging life transitions. Please visit my website to learn more about Integrative Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing® therapy. In 2014, I authored Effortless Mindfulness: Genuine mental health through awakened presence a highly regarded textbook on Buddhist psychology for mental health professionals. I have been an outpatient clinician for the Veterans Administration San Jose and taught a variety of 8-week mindfulness-based interventions there and elsewhere. I also am a Buddhist teacher and have been a yogic and Buddhist meditation practitioner for over four decades. I am the creator of the Groundless Ground Podcast. Having completed the three-year SE™ practitioner training in 2013, I continue to further my SE skills in post-graduate trainings with Dr. Levine and Kathy Kain, including; SE for depression, SE with veterans of war, Eye of the Needle, and Somatic Regulation Skills.
