I find that helping someone to access their somatic sensations and awareness is a very natural process and much easier than people might expect. We can begin by sitting upright and just taking a moment to notice the contact with the chair, a few breaths.... Or lying supine and moving into gentle touch to support and assist the process. This can be a relaxing nonverbal process of supporting the physiology which begins to bring a natural regulation to the body. As well as a background of supportive relational field. Incorporating dialogue begins to move the process along in a comfortable way by staying within the window of tolerance. If necessary, I am able to work directly with the fascial structures of the body which can be helpful to open restrictions that allow the internal physiology a freer pathway of release. As well as experience working with the cranial system relieving headache and dental trauma for problems with TMJ and head injury.
