Steph is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), part of the SE™ Professional Training assisting team, Embodied Movement + Mindfulness Facilitator, and Buddhist practitioner. She currently offers Somatic Experiencing sessions both in person and virtually worldwide. Steph supports individuals in reconnecting with their bodies, building inner stability, and gently unwinding the effects of stress, trauma, or disconnection at a pace that honors their nervous system’s readiness. Her approach focuses on attuning to the body’s innate wisdom and exploring what is unfolding in the present moment, rather than traditional talk therapy. Early work involves understanding each client’s unique nervous system to build stability and internal resources before approaching challenging experiences. Sessions unfold at the client’s pace and may include sitting, gentle movement, breathwork, or mindful awareness—all invitational and client-led. This work benefits anyone navigating anxiety, chronic stress, overwhelm, or disconnection, helping them return to themselves with greater clarity, ease, and resilience. Steph also leads weekly embodied movement classes in the Twin Cities, blending Somatic Experiencing with yoga, dance, breathwork, and vocal activation. These trauma-informed classes encourage self-expression, body awareness, and nervous system regulation in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
