As a body-centered psychotherapist who works with adults, I have found that symptoms that bring people into therapy are often the result of an overwhelmed nervous system. It can happen suddenly or over time when we live through something that occurs too fast or lasts too long (motor vehicle accidents, violence, loss and grief, falls or medical procedure trauma). Focusing on nervous system stabilization by combining creative modalities, somatic and mind-body approaches help treat and resolve the fight-flight-freeze and fear cycles in the present moment, and move toward resiliency, as well as self- and co-regulation. I like to provide a safe and supportive container to help gently renegotiate old emotional and physical strategies, and practice new ways of being with oneself and in the world. In addition to private practice, I have assisted Somatic Experiencing trainings in the US and in France, and Trauma First Aide. I am a SETI-approved provider of required personal sessions for SE students.
