Yesim Sokmen

I am a BIPOC therapist and multiple immigrant. I am an Alberta registered Occupational Therapist and hold a master's degree in Arts Therapy that I integrate into my practice. I also completed Touch Skills for Trauma Therapists training with Kathy L. Kain. I've had the fortune to have worked for over 20 years as a registered Occupational Therapist in mental health in hospital centers and outreach teams in mental health return to work rehabilitation with adults, elderly and youth. I integrate psychotherapeutic and body-based approaches into my practice in assisting my clients to regain and improve their capacity to do the things they want and need to do so that they can create and live a fulfilling life based on their own definition of happiness. I am also a SEI Training Assistant and Approved Personal Session Provider in Intermediate level.
