I wear many hats that I have synthesized into a love for training women to be the best versions of themselves- however that may look for them. I am an orthopedic and women's health physical therapist with a passion for strength and conditioning, weightlifting, CrossFit and all things fitness. When working with women of all backgrounds, I strive to help them reach goals they might have thought impossible and feel empowered to take charge of their health! As I began treating more women with active backgrounds, I realized that the information for pregnant and postpartum athletes was lacking. At the 6 week check up postpartum, most women are cleared for "usual exercise". Well what if you were snatching 135# or running 10+ miles at a time or playing a competitive sport before pregnancy? Is it ok to go right back to that?! This was the question I kept being asked in clinic. So, I began focusing on women's health PT with strength and conditioning to help bridge this gap.
