I am a gastroenterology specialist, mainly interested and dealing with pelvic floor disorders ( anal incontinence, constipation, defecatory disorders, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapsus, functional GI disorders like IBS, urinary incontinence, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulas, pruritus ani, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disorders like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. I do perform upper and lower GI endoscopies and anorectal- esophageal manometry , balloon expulsion test, rectoanal sensory threshold tests and transanal ultrasonography. I also conduct biofeedback therapies with detailed pelvic floor physiotherapy with my colleague, pelvic physiotherapist Yasemin Ecem Temel Yılmaz. In the hospital I work, defecography and colon- transit time tests are also available.
