Heather S. Howard

Heather Howard, PhD, MPH, is an AASECT-certified sexuality counselor and educator with clinical concentrations in pelvic, sexual, and chronic pain. In her clinical practice, she helps individuals and couples (in person and over video chat) to meet their sexual goals. She is also a professor of human sexuality for the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS); a CE provider for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT); and a board member and fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Her research areas of interest are the intersections of sexuality with pelvic pain, with trauma, and with female genital cutting.
