Hello! My name is Hannah Morris, and I have been practicing TRE since 2020. In late 2019, after a serious back injury, I was in deep physical and emotional distress. While working with my massage therapist to recover from my injury, I had a spontaneous tremoring experience when she targeted my psoas muscle. That initial experience was extremely powerful, and created an intense emotional and physical release. I began to research what had happened - why I had begun shaking, and why it had affected me so deeply - and I came across TRE, and discovered that many people had similar stories! Personally, TRE has transformed my life, providing relief from chronic back pain and TMJ issues, reducing my PTSD symptoms (to the point where I longer have dissociative, freezing, or flooding episodes) as well as alleviating my depression and anxiety. I trained to teach TRE through Red Beard Somatic Therapy, a practice based in Madison, Wisconsin. When I'm t shaking, or teaching people to shake, I am probably working on my PhD at the University of Georgia or hanging out with my very sweet nephews.
