Katelyn Smith

I am a certified physician assistant with 9 years of experience in pediatric oncology. Those years afforded me the opportunity to support patients and families through challenging times, and I became intimately familiar with cancer, death, and the grieving process. My time working as a clinician in the medical system also made it clear to me that the way we view death in this country needs to change, and I believe that begins with having conversations and building communities such as this focused on normalizing the end of life. I have completed the CIIS CPTR program as well as PRATI’s EOL Ketamine training, and am very interested in utilizing psychedelics for existential distress and EOL mental health concerns. I will also be completing death doula training in September 2024.
